We received a letter of thanks from the “Friends of the Mississippi River”. They work to protect the Mississippi River and its watershed in the Twin Cities area.
Dear Captain Ken’s Foods,
Thank you so much for your support of the Great River Energy Mississippi River Challenge 2008!
“I just love being on the water with my friend and being around so many people with like interests, working together to help our community and lives.”
“I thoroughly enjoyed participating in the event. It also made me realize how incredible the Mississippi River is!”
“…the entire thing was so cool! …everyone and their boat and their knowledge, the jug band at the Fort, the food, all the food, the cowbells at the end, the compost-able plates, cups, spoons, etc.”
“Thanks for delivering such a terrific event!”
“Don’t change a thing!”
That is just a small sample of the feedback we’ve received from participants of the Challenge, and we feel it’s important to pass in on to you. Your gift of delicious Captain Ken’s Baked Beans helped us engage more than 450 participants and volunteers in the life and importance of the Mississippi River, and raise more than $79,000 for river and watershed protection! We are extremely grateful for your support and want you to know that we could not have done this without your generosity.
Thank you so much for your role in allowing so many people to be touched by the Mississippi River and her powerful message of stewardship during the Great River Energy Mississippi River Challenge.
Sincerely,
KY
